Emily Fleming, LPCC
Owner, Mental Health Therapist
Emily utilizes a somatic-focused, relationship-based psychodynamic approach in her therapy practice. This method facilitates integration between the frontal cortex and the complete emotional experience, fostering somatic awareness and supporting exploration of self and inner-child healing. Such comprehensive body awareness has proven effective in reducing anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Additionally, Emily is trained in EMDR. Emily works with parent-child attachment and childhood related behavioral concerns.
She earned her Master’s in Counseling degree from Arizona State University in 2011 and possesses extensive experience working with complex trauma. Emily has provided trainings for first responders and professionals to enhance understanding of trauma's effects on the brain and behavior and to promote trauma-informed practices within the community. She also integrates faith-based counseling rooted in Christian principles and intends to pursue formal instruction in this area.
Outside of her professional role, Emily’s interests include her focus on God and serving His will, parenting and healing generational trauma, ongoing personal health and development, hiking, gardening, sourdough bread, music and singing.
